Working with Scheduled Action Objects
Adding a Scheduled Action Object
A new Action Object (AO) can be added by following these steps:
-
Start the CSense Runtime Manager from the start menu.
-
The types of valid Action Objects are listed in the Console Root.
-
Double click the required type of Action Object to be added, and the AO window will open. Each different AO type has a different configuration window, customized for that type.
-
Click [Add] to add a new Scheduled AO.
-
You will be prompted to browse to the correct data recipe file, with a .drcp file extension, or the correct Architect blueprint file, with a .mgd file extension.
-
The deployment configuration dialog will open. Continue with configuration, and click [OK] when complete to add the AO to the list of scheduled AOs.
-
AOs are listed in alphabetical order, which can be sorted to either ascending or descending order.
-
The number in parenthesis after the AO enforces AO uniqueness.
NOTE: When deploying a Scheduled Action Object that executes only once, the Action Object will automatically be removed from the CSense Runtime Manager if execution is successful. If an error occurs, the Action Object will remain listed in the CSense Runtime Manager in an error state.
NOTE: Execution of Scheduled Action Objects is governed by the setting for error handling as well as the limit to the number of concurrently executable action objects defined for Scheduled Action Objects in the Proficy CSense Run-time Properties dialog box.
Exporting Scheduled Action Object(s)

Restarting Stopped Action Object(s)
You can restart Action Objects that are currently not executing due to an error. When you restart the Action Objects, all the respective process information of the restarted Action objects will remain unchanged except the Current schedule retries and Total retries. The Current schedule retries value resets when a Scheduled Action Object is restarted or when the current scheduled execute is successfully completed, and the Total retries value keeps increasing for each failed scheduled execute.
NOTE: For the Start button to get enabled, you must select at least one Action Object that is stopped due to an error.
To restart Scheduled Action Object(s), perform the following:
